Description: This control ensures that the OCI Compute Instances are configured with auto sca. It is recommended that Compute Instance boot or block volumes should be configured with in-transit data encryption to minimize risk for sensitive data being leaked.
Remediation Steps:
Perform following to create auto scaling configuration :
Login to the OCI console at https://www.oracle.com/cloud/sign-in.html .
In navigation menu click Compute.
Under Compute, click Autoscaling Configurations.
On the Add Basic Details page, enter a name, select the compartment, select the Instance pool to apply.
Click Next.
On the Configure Autoscaling Policy, select Metric-Based Autoscaling or Schedule-Based Autoscaling. For Metric-Based Autoscaling enter name, Cool-down in seconds, Performance metric, Scale-out rule, Scale-in rule, Scaling limits. For Schedule-Based Autoscaling enter name, Action to perform, Execution schedule.
Click Next.
Review the autoscaling configuration, and then click Create.
Important:
The number of instances that can be provisioned is also limited by tenancy's service limit.
