AWS-IAM-Current-Contact-Details-Missing

Severity : Medium

Description: This control ensures that AWS accounts maintain valid contact email and phone information and reference more than one person within your organization. It is recommended by AWS security best practices to have current contact information to provide communication channel to be able to mitigate urgent issues.

Remediation Steps:

Perform following to update the current contact details :

1. Login to the AWS Management Console at https://console.aws.amazon.com as root user.

2. Navigate to IAM console.

3. In the navigation pane, choose account name and choose My Account.

4. Under section Contact information. If need to update alternate account select Alternate Contacts.

5. Choose Edit.

6. Update the information as needed.

7. Choose Update.
