Installation and Configuration:

Step 1

Unpack the appliance and connect both the power supply cables.

Step 2

Connect a laptop or PC with Chrome or Firefox browser to the Blue Hexagon appliance through ethernet port #4.

NOTE: Ports #1 and #2 are the monitoring ports, while port #3 is the management port.

Step 3

Configure your laptop ethernet port IP address to 192.168.123.2 and browse to http://192.168.123.1. You should now be able to access the web-based appliance configuration screen below.

  2. Configure the proxy settings in case you have a proxy server for internet connectivity that the Blue Hexagon appliance needs to connect through.

Step 5

Configure your internet firewall to allow the Management NIC connectivity to AWS - whitelist the domain amazonaws.com or allow the IP ranges per this: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/general/latest/gr/aws-ip-ranges.html

Additionally, subscribe to notification for any changes to the IP ranges here: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/general/latest/gr/aws-ip-ranges.html#subscribe-notifications
