Severity: High

Description: This control ensure that Runtime used in Cloud Function is not deprecated or decommissioned. Periodically, newer versions are released for software either due to security flaws or to include additional functionality. Using the latest version for Function is recommended in order to take advantage of security fixes, if any, and/or new functionalities of the latest version.

Remediation Steps:

Perform following to set CMK for BigQuery dataset :

  1. Sign in to GCP Console https://console.cloud.google.com.

  2. Go to Cloud Functions in GCP Console.

  3. Click on the affected function.

  4. Click on Edit button.

  5. Click on Next button.

  6. Change the Runtime under Runtime dropdown.

  7. Click Deploy.
