AWS-Route53-Domain-Transfer-Lock

Severity: Low

Description: The control ensures that Route 53 Registered domains have transfer lock enabled. AWS Route 53 Registered domain have Transfer lock feature. Once the Transfer lock is enabled domain can not be transferred until the lock is disabled. 

Remediation Steps:

Perform following to enable transfer protection lock :

  1. Login to the AWS Management Console at https://console.aws.amazon.com.

  2. Navigate to o Route 53 console.

  3. In the navigation pane, choose Registered Domains.

  4. Choose the name of the domain that you want to update.

  5. For Transfer lock property click enable.
