Description: This control ensures that AWS Route 53 Registered domains have Auto renew enabled. AWS Route 53 Registered domains have Auto renew feature which automatically renews domains 30 days before expiration. Configuring Auto renew eliminates the possibility of losing the domain.

Remediation Steps:

Perform following to enable auto renew feature for registered domain:

  1. Login to the AWS Management Console at https://console.aws.amazon.com.

  2. Navigate to o Route 53 console.

  3. In the navigation pane, choose Registered Domains.

  4. Choose the name of the domain that you want to update.

  5. For Auto renew property click enable.
